The “Little Ettal Flute Mass” in G major is based on motifs from the well-known “Two Minuets by Weinmüller” from 1784. The mass was created between Easter and Whitsun 2020 and is composed in the style of the time the minuets were created. This "Missa Brevis" was named after the unusual orchestral line-up with two soprano recorders; the approximately 13-minute mass is close to the character of the pastoral mass. It is also particularly suitable for smaller church choirs.
