Ferdinand Donninger was born in Düsseldorf in 1714, the same year as Leopold Mozart and Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach. He was a court musician at the Thurn und Taxis court in Regensburg. He wrote several concertos for solo flute and solo oboe, among others. He died in Regensburg in 1781.
