Product information "Guise, Jean François de – Musique d‘Église pour Orgue"

Guise Jean François de
Musique d'Église pour Orgue
Op. 12 No.2

Again and again Jean François de Guise dedicates himself to the organ, so also in the volume "Musique d'Église" from the year 2000. That he comes from the "school" of Jean Langlais is clearly recognizable here and so it is not surprising that here the French organ music gets its place, as one gets to hear it in the churches of France. Nevertheless, one recognizes the handwriting of Jean François de Guise.
It is perhaps somewhat surprising that he makes dynamic entries, as we know them from the piano literature. These result from the consideration that the pieces are also possible on the piano and at the same time the compositional idea can be transported.
The composer already performed the individual pieces several times in 2000, played parts from the volume in organ concerts and used them for a CD.
To this day, the works are performed again and again in church services and concerts, since they are also suitable for organists who are not yet quite so familiar with pedal playing.
