Guise Jean François de
Displacements
Meditation for clarinet, horn and piano
op. 25, no. 20

Displacements, or "displacements" in German, dates from 2015.
Jean François de Guise still chose the subtitle "Meditation for clarinet, horn and piano," which leaves little room for error as to the direction in which the displacements of musical material will take place.
Indeed, each of the instruments brings tranquility to the "ménage à trois."
Nevertheless, the individual motifs are not stoic, but always seem serene and never hasty. The piano steadily plants its guiding ideas. Unagitated, almost thought-work-eating, the sounds run, connecting only by their mere presence with the voices of the clarinet and that of the horn, whereas the winds actively communicate with each other and permanently influence each other.
In its entirety, the work manages to captivate the listener all the time.
And, although it is not a work of "minimal music", the thought of it comes up, because Jean François de Guise uses just as few means to complete his work.
