The piece was written in 2021, solely on the composer's own initiative, i.e. without an external commission. Jean François de Guise is primarily concerned here with the sound and playing techniques of the string instruments, which, in conjunction with the extended 12-tone technique, gives rise to a floating, transcendent piece that constantly develops its motivic and in some cases allows new forms to become visible.
