Franz KreuzlingerAve maris stella
for guitar and organ
The Marian hymn “AVE MARIS STELLA” is the basis for the five-movement Partita for guitar and (small) organ. In addition to the melodic material, the basic mood of the guitar also forms the tonal source material for the individual movements, which are given a diverse range of sounds, particularly by the different positions of the organ.

About the work:
The PassionsIntermedien were created as a musical addition to a spoken Passion lecture and are suitable for both the Good Friday liturgy and for the concert lecture. The most important stations of the Passion are reflected in the seven intermedia - the traditional motifs and melodies of the Good Friday liturgy are recorded in a new sound. The work was created for a performance with a vocal ensemble and a trio of viola, cello and double bass. This version is particularly appealing due to the viol-like, dark sound of the string ensemble. Alternatively, the PassionsIntermedien can also be performed a cappella with just one choir - corresponding instructions can be found in the choir score.
The music was produced with the kind support of the parish of St. Bernhard in Fürstenfeldbruck.

Ave Maria siciliana • Sicilian Ave Maria
1. for choir and organ2. for voice and organ3. for choir and strings
The so-called "Sicilian Ave Maria" was created in a cycle of Italian Christmas carols. In a moderate modern tone, the impressive text of the Ave Maria is contrapuntal over the cantus firmus of the song "O sanctissima" (Eng. "O you cheerful"), which also in the short intermezzo between the two stanzas, as if from a distance, of angels sung sounds.

Kreuzlinger FranzSmall Ettal Flute Massfor choir and instrumental ensembleThe “Little Ettal Flute Mass” in G major is based on motifs from the well-known “Two Minuets by Weinmüller” from 1784. The mass was created between Easter and Whitsun 2020 and is composed in the style of the time the minuets were created. This "Missa Brevis" was named after the unusual orchestral line-up with two soprano recorders; the approximately 13-minute mass is close to the character of the pastoral mass. It is also particularly suitable for smaller church choirs.2 sophran recorders, violin, choir, bassoon, organ, cello / double bassScore, choir and parts / 128 pages

Small sacred concerto
for recorder and piano or harpsichord
Five instrumental movements were created in the tradition of baroque concert music. The first movement refers to a Bach chorale, the second movement uses the alto part from Rheinberger‘s Abendlied as cantus firmus. The chorale play expands the chorale style by adding a twelve-tone structure to the melody, while in the fourth movement, “An der Krippe,” a Bach chorale appears again. The last, extremely virtuoso movement, “Shepherd’s Music,” concludes this work

Wolfgang Amadeus MozartSerenata ex CA Very Little Night MusicKV648Arranged for organ by Franz KeuzlingerIn September 2024, the „Serenata ex C“ - given the affectionate title „A Very Little Night Music“ - was awakened from its slumber after over 250 years. Franz Kreuzlinger immediately created a version for organ. Some of these movements can also be performed by the less advanced organist and are also suitable as intermediate music in the liturgy. Overall, the result is an interesting performance piece that represents a worthwhile challenge. Here you can find a demo clip on YouTube:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7BhnXDhFkcPlaying score / 9 pages
Zezilius, Robert M.Tauet Himmel, den GerechtenMotet for choir a capellaThe hymn "Tauet Himmel, den Gerechten" from the 18th century is a translation of the hymn "Rorate coeli". Robert M. The work is suitable for church choirs who are practiced in romantic musical language.Sophrane, alto, tenor, bassChoral score / 5 pages / minimum purchase 16 parts
Zezilius, Robert M.Two humorous melodramasMelodramas were extremely popular in the 19th century and versions with musical backgrounds were created for almost all great ballads. The partly commenting juxtaposition of language and music lends itself especially to a humorous verbalization or a very satirical commentary. Robert M. Zezilius has orchestrated two historical melodramas based on ballads by Friedrich von Schiller ("Die Bürgschaft" and "Der Handschuh"). The music is by Gustav v. Gizycki and by Diego Fischers. Diego Fischers is the pseudonym of the creator of the quite equally humorous variations on "'S kommt a Vogerl geflogen" by Siegfried Ochs. The SuretyHumorous melodrama no. 1 after Friedrich SchillerMusic: Gustav von Gizycki (Op. 18)The GloveHumorous melodrama No. 2after Friedrich von Schiller - Music: Diego FischersFlute (12 p.), piccolo (13 p.), oboe (12 p.), clarinet (12 p.), bassoon (12 p.), horn (12 p.), trumpet (12 p.), timpani (11 p.),cymbals and bass drum (12 p.), 2 violins (12 p.), viola (11 p.), cello (12 p.), double bass (12 p.) score and 14 parts / 240 pages
